Botanical park and museum ‘Eden Holland’ – one step closer

Eden Holland Foundation plans to realize a world-class educational botanical park with a spectacular greenhouse in Almere. Designed by Mecanoo architecten, Royal HaskoningDHV and Kossmann.dejong exhibition architects the project will feature a greenhouse and a ‘wonder lab’.

 

Eden Holland will become the Dutch sister of the famous Eden Project in Cornwall. The project’s location next to the Floriade site in Almere was decided by the Province of Flevoland and the municipality of Almere. The province and municipality will invest a maximum of 10 million in the project.

 

In the coming period, the plan will be further developed, including the cooperation between Eden Holland and Floriade. Eden Holland is scheduled to open its doors in April 2022, at the same time as the Floriade. Approximately 400,000 visitors are expected each year.
