Naturalis Biodiversity Center – ‘Life’
Naturalis Biodiversity Center
‘Life” in the renewed Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden is an introductory exhibition where the enormous biodiversity of life on earth is on display. In a theatrical setting, highlights of the taxidermy collection are presented in an abstract landscape. Following a linear routing, visitors are drawn into an impressive underwater world after which the journey continues on land, onto the mountains and into the air. With large video productions and dynamic light and sound, the animal world is brought to life.
Kossmann.dejong also designed the exhibition on the top floor ‘Death’ for Naturalis.
There are nine exhibitions in the renewed Naturalis, of which two have been designed by Kossmann.dejong: introduction exhibition ‘Life’ and the exhibition ‘Death’ on the top-floor.
